Fabrics

An obsession with materials

Over the years we have used a wide variety of different fabrics in our manufacture. Now, after making thousands of packs, we have decided to simplify our range to make decision making easier.

We are really excited to have recently partnered with Challenge Sailcloth and will be using their EcoPak range moving forwards! This fabric has been designed from the ground up to minimise or eliminate the environmental damage normally caused by standard manufacturing processes.

Challenge has done this by using 100% Repreve recycled Polyester for all woven components, saving over one pound of CO2 per yard when compared to virgin nylon or polyester pack fabric. The fabric has also been designed to use solvent free lamination and a C0 durable water repellent (DWR) finish which eliminates fluorocarbons and Volatile Organic Compounds from the mix as well! This is a really exciting new material and manages to be both lighter and more durable than our previous fabric offerings, which when combined with a lighter ecological footprint, made this seem like a no brainer!
