The Pulses carbon fibre frame can be removed if you want to go frameless, or, if you’re getting your pack ready to be washed.
For the purpose of this guide, our pack is inside out - you will be removing and reinserting on the internal of the pack.
---
Removing The Frame
Take care not to force, sharply bend or twist the carbon fibre frame whilst removing it.
#1
Open the frame sleeve by undoing the velcro at the top of the pack.

#2
Gently pull the frame forwards, working it free as you go.

#3
Remove the frame completely and carefully remove it from the pack.

#4
Within the frame sleeve is a foam back panel which can also be removed.

If you do damage the frame you can find replacements here.
Reinserting The Frame
#1
If you have removed the foam back panel, open the frame sleeve using the velcro towards the top of the pack and reinsert - there are stitch lines down either side to guide it into place.

#2
For the carbon fibre frame, first you need to locate two ribbon loops ¾ of the way up the sides of the back panel. Thread the ends of the frame through the ribbon loops.

#3
Then locate the webbing holders at the base of the pack, sit the ends of the frame into these.

#4
Undoing the velcro at the top of the frame sleeve again, you want to gently ease the top curve of the frame under the top of the frame sleeve.
Take care not to do this with any great force, it can take a few attempts to get it right.

#5
Once the frame is in place, close up the velcro and you’re good to go

Before you head out
Make sure to give the frame a quick check before putting any load into your pack. Both ends should be fully seated in their holders, with the frame sitting neatly in its channels.
It is important to make sure the frame sits into the two webbing holders at the bottom of the pack. Whilst you move the durable webbing helps to take on the friction of the pack, without using these the frame can pierce a hole into the base of your pack.
If the frame doesn’t slide into place easily, don’t force it. Remove it and try again, making sure it’s correctly aligned. Below is how it should be when it is correctly in place.
