Rental Terms and Conditions
This Rental Agreement ("Agreement") is made between Atom Packs ("Company") and the individual renting the equipment ("Customer"). By accepting delivery of the equipment, the Customer agrees to the following terms:
The rental programme is currently only available to customers with a UK delivery address.
Rental Period & Timing

Equipment is hired for fixed periods of 3, 5, or 7 days.

The rental period begins the day the carrier confirms delivery to the Customer’s address.

The rental period ends on the final day of your hire. Please return the pack using the pre-paid label on the following day. (If your rental period is 7 days, please return it on the 8th day).

The Company is not responsible for delays outside of its control (e.g. courier, weather or other logistical issues). If the gear arrives later than expected, the rental duration remains the same, starting from the actual date of delivery.
Shipping & Returns

A pre-paid return shipping label is provided. Customers should reuse the original packaging to ensure the gear is protected during transit.

The return shipment must be postmarked/scanned by the courier on the day after the rental period ends.

Returned equipment will be inspected upon receipt. Where no additional cleaning, repair or replacement costs apply, the security deposit will be refunded within 5-7 working days.
Cleaning Requirement

Customers must clean the backpack before returning it. This includes removing all dirt, debris, and personal items.

Gear must be completely dry before being boxed for return. Shipping damp gear can cause permanent mold/mildew damage.

Backpacks returned excessively dirty, stained, or with persistent odours will incur a professional cleaning fee of £20.
Condition of Equipment

Upon delivery, the Customer must inspect the gear and report any significant damage or functional issues within 24 hours of delivery.

Customers may not modify, sew, or permanently alter the backpack (e.g., removing straps, adding patches, or using markers).

Rental equipment remains the property of Atom Packs at all times.
Damage, Loss, or Theft

Minor scuffs and trail dirt are expected and covered by the rental fee.

The Customer is liable for costs associated with repairs (e.g., torn mesh, broken buckles, snapped frames) or full security deposit amount if the item is damaged beyond repair.

If the equipment is lost or stolen while in the Customer’s care, the Customer will be charged the full security deposit amount.
Liability & Safety

The Customer acknowledges that hiking and outdoor activities involve inherent risks. The Company is not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or health issues resulting from the use of the equipment.

The Company is not liable for damage to the Customer’s personal property (e.g., electronics, clothing) stored inside the rental backpack.
Payment & Disputes

Payment of the rental fee and refundable £150 security deposit must be received before the equipment is dispatched. Atom Packs reserves the right to deduct any applicable cleaning, repair or late return charges from the security deposit. Where these charges exceed the deposit amount, the Customer agrees to reimburse Atom Packs for the remaining balance.
Late Returns

Equipment returned after the agreed rental period may incur a late return charge for each additional day until the equipment is received.
Cancellation Policy

Bookings cancelled more than 7 days before the rental start date will recieve a full refund.

Bookings cancelled within 7 days of the rental start date will incur a charge equal to 50% of the rental fee.
Acceptance
-
Taking possession of the equipment constitutes a binding agreement to these terms.
