Lumbar pad
Made with 10mm EVA foam and 3mm thick spacer mesh.

Plastic Frame with removable Alloy stay
Removable frame sheet made of 1mm thick plastic with a sewn-in 12mm / ½" alloy bar. The frame for a medium torso length weighs 91g of plastic, and 58g of alloy.

Padded back panel

S-shaped shoulder straps
Sewn using our own laminated 10mm foam, durable 210d Robic Extreema face fabric and breathable, soft 3mm spacer mesh.

Roll top closure
The closure has a 15mm vertical side compression. The roll top can also be clipped together at the top (dry bag style) and the side compression clipped around the front of the bag to aid carrying snowshoes or maybe a huge packs of chips etc.

Z side elastics

Dual shoulder pockets
Super stretchy and big enough to hold most smartphones, a day’s worth of snacks or a 700ml water bottle. The elastic is fixed and, owing to its clever design, does not need a tensioner.

Excellent!

Hi Dexter. Absolutely delighted with my 60 L atom pack. Incredibly well designed and easily accessible. The side pockets are game changers and its overall versatility exactly what I wanted. My one reservation is that I thought there was a drain hole in the side pockets, and I think that would be a good modification. Overall, I am delighted!

Conquered the Continental Divide Trail

I purchased a Mo VX60(Real Red) to thru-hike the CDT and couldn't have been happier. The backpack took all the abuse I gave it, which was substantial during many bushwhacks, and was unphased. Even an outfitter, The Base Camp, in Helena, Montana thoroughly examined the pack, he builds his own, and was extremely impressed with the stitching and how it had held up after 2400 miles.

Another bonus, the red fabric was highly visible so my tramily could always see me in the distance ^_^. Plan on using the Mo for many more trips!

Best packs you can buy!

I chose Atom Packs and this rucksack because they are handmade in the Lake District, incredibly lightweight, functional, comfortable, and they look great too! This 60L version also allows me to carry my full winter setup.

The pack’s features are spot on. I love the flexible shoulder pockets, perfect for holding water and a phone. The large stretch front pocket is ideal for stashing items like maps and waterproof gear, while the generous side pockets easily accommodate a tent, large water bottles, hiking poles, and more.

This is easily the second-best pack I own, with the best being my custom Prospector 50L. :)
I highly recommend this pack to anyone serious about hiking and backpacking. Keep up the great work, Dexter and the Atom Packs team—your products are amazing!

Flexible and sooo LIGHT!!

I chose this pack because of it's lightness and zip free construction. I have tried it on a multi day trek in the Alps and was postponing a review until I had tried it out in south Wales rain as predicted for my next trek
But the rain held off. So....
Best features...did I mention it's LIGHT? External pockets flexible and useful. Stuff stayed put on the trail but flask did fall out when someone rough handled my pack on a french train. The elastic pockets on the straps great for stowing gloves/ scarf etc when not needed. I found them a bit small for my water bottle. I like the multiple ways to adjust the fit/lie. Very flexible interior space meant I could stow walking poles away when travelling...no catching on stuff and made a nice neat pack on buses/trains
Any downside? The pack took me a while to get fully adjusted to how I like it set up. Time well spent. I am unsure how it would perform in rain( would water just funnel down into the stretchy pocket and drain out? ). I organise my stuff into dry bags anyway in all conditions so maybe rain won't matter too much. Delivery was faster than I had expected...a bonus. Also love that it's made in the UK near my favourite Lake District walking.
