The Hipbelt Pocket

I just completed a thru hike of the island of Madeira with my newly acquired atom pack. I had a single hipbelt and I was more than happy with it. Was hesitant at first with a single hipbelt pocket but I must say it was plenty. It kept my Swiss army knife, headlamp, (large) phone and snacks just right. The zipper and materials were waterproof enough to keep everything neat and dry. Bonus points for being able to use the pocket as a stand alone mini pack cube.
The only little things that I noticed were maybe "suboptimal" (and that's pushing it) is the fact that the removability made the hipbelt jingle a bit, and also the way it wasn't firmly fixed made the use of the zippers pretty much impossible with a single hand.

Apart from that, I'd say 96% satisfied. Well done Atom Packs.

The right size not to big so they get in the way and big enough to put my wash kit and first aid kit in one and snacks and keys in the other

Good size pockets, however if I'm honest which I have to be I feel firstly that they should come as standard like every other brand, it's just doesn't make any sense other than a way of making more money from us. Again this is my personal opinion they are way way over priced, two pockets over £40 to me is absolutely ridiculous.

These are very useful in holding snacks and items such as first-aid kit, compass, whistle, snacks, phone and wallet.
They also help, to some extent, distribute the weight carried close to the body’s centre of mass.

Got this to go with my Pulse EP40 and it's great. Really handy, easy to open one handed, and doesn't get it in the way whatsoever. Held up pretty well in torrential rain too.
