They give easy access to important items.

These are very useful in holding snacks and items such as first-aid kit, compass, whistle, snacks, phone and wallet.
They also help, to some extent, distribute the weight carried close to the body’s centre of mass.

Great additional storage

Got this to go with my Pulse EP40 and it's great. Really handy, easy to open one handed, and doesn't get it in the way whatsoever. Held up pretty well in torrential rain too.

A useful accessory

These are a great addition to my pack to keep things I need quick access to. The zips seem to be completely waterproof. Recommended.

The hip belt pockets are a great addition to my pack and are easy to use unlike my last rucksack.They have lots of room in them with easy to operate zips.
