I have had the Roo for a couple of months and I am very satisfied with my purchase. It has been really practical when walking the dog, it is the perfect size for when you have to bring a few essentials. I wore it also under snow and rain and it kept my things dry.

Excellent bumbag

I have used my Roo over the past few years on countless adventures from walking the Pacific Crest Trail and Te Araroa to travelling through New Zealand and Thailand for several months. It has been fantastic for this entire breadth of trips and is still going strong. The mesh front pocket is great for storing my phone whilst listening to podcasts aloud or my loose rubbish then the hidden pocket inside keeps my passport and valuables secure. The size is ideal for storing a random assortment of belongings to access easily and I enjoy adjusting the strap to wear the Roo around my waist or chest. Overall couldnt be happier with this product and I am looking forward to keeping it for many more uses.

Good hip pack, but...

It's a really good hip pack. Strong materials, lightweight, and big capacity. Though I wish there was a elastic to to hold the excess belt strap. I ended up just stealing one from one of my other packs strap. I posted a picture below of the elastic I added. to fix my issue. I like the inner pocket and its very handy when traveling with passports as the flap securely holds the contents.

Thanks so much for your review! We’re really glad to hear you like the pack’s materials, weight, and capacity, and that the inner pocket worked well for your passport.

We totally get why you'd want an elastic for the excess strap. We don’t include one because we believe tucking the strap in works just as well—it keeps everything in place and is easier to adjust on the go.

I love this thing so much!

I hate to gush, but I’m going to gush. I brought this pack with me on the Camino de Santiago and got tons of compliments (worked great as a shoulder bag for going into town, or for walking with all my key docs and “need to access” items). It’s just the right size, the clip is positioned where it’s easy to access, and it kept my kit dry during sideways rain. In albuerges, it was where I kept all my critical irreplaceables. Highly recommend!
